VIDEO: How to Create a Home Workout Room on a Budget
I'm so excited to show you my favorite room in the house -- our new workout room! When I celebrated my 5th anniversary of starting my healthier lifestyle, which resulted in losing 60 pounds, I decided to give myself a present: a workout room. We converted what was the home office, the "bonus" room above the garage, into an awesome fitness space. My husband and I did all the work ourselves, and Continue Reading
Hitting the road — on a bike this time
I have changed up my workout routine, at least temporarily, and I have my husband to thank for it. He decided to fix up our old bikes, which we hadn't ridden in years, and wanted to take them with us on our beach vacation. I'm so glad he did that. When we stayed at Ocean Isle Beach, we rode every morning. It made me remember how much I'd always enjoyed bike riding in the past. But the main Continue Reading

Being off my regular eating schedule, dining at Continue Reading
Every mile adds up
Are you a runner? I'd like to sort of think I am, but my version of running is actually fast-walking (easier on the old joints!), with some intervals of running, and I do at least 20 miles a week. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays I do four miles on the treadmill; about 60 minutes. Tuesdays and Thursdays I do two miles, then 25-30 minutes of one of the Brazil Butt Lift videos. Saturdays Continue Reading
