Honoring 9/11 heroes with a 72-flight stair climb in Greensboro, N.C.
On Saturday, Sept. 3, I joined the Greensboro Fire Department and hundreds of area residents for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. This was my first time at this annual event, which involves climbing a total of 72 flights of stairs at a downtown parking deck, to honor the public safety personnel who perished at the World Trade Center. I've participated in two benefit walking events in as many weeks. Today, at the University of North Carolina, there was an employee event called the Spring Fling.
