Here’s a quick update on what I’ve been up to lately.
I rode 10 miles on my bike this morning, marking the end of my first month of cycling! As I wrote in a previous post, I decided to try cycling in place of the treadmill for a while. This is working out great and I’m really loving the experience. I am also getting stronger every ride, I can feel it.
I use an app called MapMyRide to track these workouts. In my first month of biking, I’ve done a total of 167 miles and 16 hours, and burned 6,204 calories!
In other news…
- I am continuing to focus on studying for my Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) test. As I wrote in my New Year’s resolutions post, it’s my main goal for this year.
- I have two fitness-related trips coming up that I’m really looking forward to. First, a few days in beautiful Asheville, N.C. I haven’t been there in quite some time, and can’t wait to be back in the Blue Ridge mountains and get in a hike or two. Secondly, I was invited by Hilton Head Health to visit their outstanding facility during a special event later this summer. It is a wellness spa and weight loss resort. I’m super excited about this, and can’t wait to experience their classes and meet the staff. And of course, I’ll be covering this in-depth on the blog.
