The amazing cleaning (and stomach-ruining?) power of soda!

June 21, 2014 By Michelle Rogers

Opened up the latest issue of one of my favorite magazines this morning, Woman’s World. You know, the one with a diet AND a cake on every cover?

Anyway, this article on “The Amazing Cleaning Power of Soda!” struck a note with me. If soda can be used to dissolve rust, grease and soap scum, imagine how bad it might be for your insides…not to mention the issues with artificial sweeteners, colors and additives.

I used to be a hard-core diet soda addict. Gave it up a few years ago and feel much better now. I’m a lot less dehydrated, and no longer wake up with a headache.

But my sensitive stomach remains, probably from all those years of industrial-strength abuse!

What are your thoughts on soda? Ever tried giving it up?
