VIDEO: Review and giveaway, FitnessMat by WellnessMats

March 16, 2014 By Michelle Rogers

Please see my video review, above, where I compare the FitnessMat to my yoga mat.

Here’s a new product, just introduced in January, that I am so glad I found out about — FitnessMat by WellnessMats. Seriously, when I started using this I had a “Where have you been all my life?” moment.

Until I worked out on this supportive mat, I didn’t realize just how much my body’s pressure was affecting my ability to do exercises in the proper form. For example, doing girl push-ups with my knees on the floor is uncomfortable for me because of the pressure on my knees. I’ve always used a mat or towel, but it didn’t help a lot and I just figured that was the way it was. Until I tried FitnessMat. Using the FitnessMat, I was able to do any kind of floor work much more comfortably. I was able to concentrate on proper form, instead of being distracted by discomfort. Amazing!

So what is this unusual mat, and what exactly makes it so different from other exercise mats? Here are some of the features:

  • Made of a proprietary polyurethane material that suspends and supports body weight
  • Safe and non-toxic: No PVCs or BPAs. Latex free.
  • Antimicrobial finish for easy cleaning
  • Non-slip
  • Stays flat; edges will not curl up
  • 7-year performance warranty
  • Made in the USA
  • Can be recycled
  • Available in 4′ or 6′ lengths
  • Available in brown, gray or black

WellnessMats is a world leader in therapeutic anti-fatigue mats, commonly found in the hospitality, industrial, medical and salon industries. Now they have brought this same technology to the fitness world with the introduction of FitnessMats.

The 4′ x 2’2″ x 5/8″ model is $149.99, and the 6′ x 2.5′ x 5/8″ model is $239.95.
