How to make a “Merry Fitness” tree

December 10, 2013 By Michelle Rogers

How to make a "Merry Fitness" treeSince this is my first Christmas in the new at-home workout room, thought I’d celebrate it by making a “Merry Fitness” tree to go in there!

The tree I used is the slim kind, 4′ tall, white, like this one. I’ve never had a tree of this style before, but being that it’s skinny it seemed a good choice for the workout room – ha ha! It also fits perfectly in the corner and is out of the way.

For the decorations, I headed over to Hobby Lobby’s scrapbooking section (also available on Amazon) and found several small packages of graphics ($2-3.99 each) with themes such as hiking, running, music and dancing. I simply taped an ornament hook on the back to hang them.

Note: The scrapbooking graphics are sticky on the back, but I found it doesn’t stick for long to the hook and tape is necessary.

I also added some sparkly balls and a small tree skirt from Hobby Lobby, and topped it off with a ready-made bow found at WalMart.

Are you doing anything fitness-related to celebrate the holidays? Please share in the comments!
